In de bewoording van de Amerikaanse rapper Mos Def: “What ever my home is, my home is mine!”

DJ JANE DOE
DJ JANE DOE - QUEEN OF THE DUTCH DECKS
An unknown, upcoming, female dj, were the three main ingredients for the name “Jane Doe” that was supposed to represent this young lady 10 years ago at age 15.
Through out the years, the name Jane Doe took her in a different direction. She felt, loved and became hip hop, when not knowing music was her teacher all along. The only tool she had was real music that became the creator of her skills she owns today without even possessing decks over the past years. “Creating beautiful music is a true art, ya have to feel it”, she says.
Jane Doe’s strong love for music, mixed with her passion for the craft are two motivational forces that lay the foundation for a long term career - in a field saturated with individuals whose sole drive is only based on what’s “hot”. Radiant beauty and a charismatic smile is what audiences see every time this young talent plays “their favorite tune”, her track selection and keen ability to adjust to the mood of the room is a skill that can be considered a gift as opposed to learnt.
Jane Doe, although “unknown” on various plateaus, she can definitely rise to the challenge and command the attention of the “big boys” – Just in the past years she has opened shows for the Lords Of The Underground and Dilated Peoples, played @ Nas' private party on request, played in countries such as Greece, Jordan and Dubai just to name a few...

Robert Dupic
Robert Dupic was born in 1978 in Zisak, Croatia
My name is Robert Dupic and I am originally from Croatia. I came to Amsterdam to prepare for applications at the Rietveld in 2005 and got admitted in 2006.
I like to work outside the mainstream academic box and to be innovative.
Art for me is a way to grow together with life. For me it is the most direct way to communicate.
My visual language therefore is direct and unpolished.
I like to work with different media. I produce drawings, animations, sound-installations, photography,
video and site specific work. I have participated at various solo and group shows in Holland.
Like 1646/The Hague, FUCK/Amsterdam, Kattenback/Amsterdam and Quarantaine/Amsterdam.

Guga Ferraz
Guga Ferraz was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1976
Guga is represented by Ernesto Netos and Laura Limas gallery “A Gentil Carioca” since 2005.
He studied architecture at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro UFRJ from 1992 until 1996, switched to sculpture and concluded his studies of Fine Art in 2001.
He begins to work with public action and urban art joining the artist collective “Atrocidades Maravilhosas” in 2000. Since then Guga hasn’t stopped to propose and execute projects using the city and its language as background for his actions.
“(...) Guga’s critique is more acid and more ironic and the ambiguity between the functional
and the aethetic, the urban equipment and sarcasm at least makes one wonder
about his work suspiciously. We don’t question if what we see is art, we question what
we see. (...) “ A Gentil Carioca

Manja Hunger
Manja Hunger was born in Leipzig in 1979
Manja Hunger makes collages and installations that are generated by research on and appropriation of folklore in the broadest sense. Often a found object or artefact serves the artist as an initial spark that enriches and directs her artistic practice towards new work.
By combining for instance the very formal German Bauhaus textiles from the 1920ies or the design of playing cards with the more spiritual aspects of the annual rite of the maypole she stresses her sources and references and restructures them, constructing new configurations from the remaining parts.

I am happy to work in Amsterdam, one of the best city’s for me and artists in the world. Here we can experiment and set our own rules, like on the rooftop of Kraaiennest.
I want to start a new art world, one in which the visual and physical
component is the one and only the public needs to respond to.No concept or reaction on art in art stuff. Art can transform as a visual language. My art is made for people to look, no understanding is necessary .

Lastplak
Lastplak is a group of eleven painters with different backgrounds and diverse skills. Our goal is to paint, no matter what surface, size or location. Our work can be found all over the world, but our homebase is Rotterdam(Holland), so that's where most of our stuff can be seen.
Lastplak is:
Oles, Boortorrie, Sake, Acab, Grrt, Pinwin, Ox-Alien, Yen, Mayb,Thor & Sterf.
"Lastplak" is sort of a word-joke in the Dutch language, a contamination of the old fashioned word "lastpak" (:An annoying person , a "pain in the ass") and the word " plak " (from: "plakken" : to stick, paste) Combining these words would mean something like an annoying sticker, an irritating person who puts up stickers or a disturbing message spread with the sticker as medium.
Lastplak started in 2000 as a one man project that through the years grew to the current collective of about 10 artists with different roots in graffiti, design and (street-) art. They all operate individually and as a collective on murals, pieces, stencils, posters, stickers, paintings, etc. Every participating artist has there own specific characters, styles, inspirations and themes that are all put together in the melting pot where everybody interacts with each other's work, usually without a sketch.
Lastplak has many activities in public space. Besides stickers, paste ups and other, they initiated several large wall paintings and projects in the streets of Rotterdam, mostly spontaneously, self initiated and independent, playing the city's laws and procedures a bit.
Besides this they also do commissions and other paid projects, as long as they like the idea and can paint what they want. If there is a profit, it is mainly used to fund their independent projects..... or to get some more beers.
Projects vary from painting shop shutters, trucks and vans, several murals, a 700 m2 wall, a church, an entire street. exhibitions and later on live paint sessions at festivals, events, expo's and parties, from underground squatter parties to hipster dance clubs where they normally would be refused.entrance. During these events often other related artists who are invited to join in. There are frequently other guest appearances, collaborations and activities, as long as it is fun and a good time.
Since the collective started painting more on canvas, there have been several exhibitions in different galleries in Rotterdam and other cities of the Netherlands and later also abroad.

Fucking with your stereotypes. Flaunting un-hip fetishes. Shooting from the hip. Running with the wolf.
Howling at the moon. Chasing squaws. Embracing the hidden agenda. Going to bed with Hollywood.
To hell with Hollywood.
M.O. & Brakko

Jonas Ohlsson
I am Jonas Ohlsson.
Originally from Örebro, Sweden.
I live and work in the Bijlmer, Holland.
I use intuition and improvisation to create information heavy drawings, music and installations that “reveal mystical truths”. Or boring truths, or sometimes angry, sexy, funny, political or provocative truths.
I believe there is a funnier, smarter, more intelligent source within me.
Thru using various automatic techniques I can sometimes connect to this deep, flowing river of material, dreams, information and knowledge and then the outcome can be quite rich and surprising...also for me.

Mick La Rock
Mick La Rock (Aileen Esther Middel, Groningen, the Netherlands, 1970) started writing her name on walls at the age of 13.
She wrote her nickname “Mickey”, that was given to her by neighbors for always wearing a Mickey Mouse print on her shirts.
In 1985 she painted her first piece. These were the years that Hip Hop culture reached The Netherlands and the rest of West Europe. With passion Mick La Rock pioneered the culture in most of its elements, of which graffiti writing soon became her number one activity.
She became a legendary graffiti writer.
Mick La Rock lives and works in Amsterdam. Since 2001 her style developed beyond the style rules of graffiti. In 2005 she was admitted to the Gerrit Rietveld Academy of Fine Arts.
Today Mick la Rock works as a fine artist, muralist and art consultant.

Lieven Segers

Sabrina Seifried
Sabrina Seifried was born in South Germany in 1980and grew up in the country side of the Black Forest. After graduating in Fashion Design at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg, she moved to Antwerp, where she now lives and works.
Sabrina draws. It feels in a way automatic to her to do so.Her drawings show a strange imaginary universe, dreamy worlds anchored in the real. In her work she is going on a journey inside, where all her experiences, feelings and thoughts are trapped. There they get mixed, filtered and tumbled around to get suddenly released and create intuitively alternative fantastic worlds that often even surprise herself.

Sensiriti Sound
Tim de Wreede was born in Amsterdam in 1976. He grew up in the South East part of the city, where he soon had his first taste of reggae music. Dipping his hands in his parents’ and friends’ record boxes, he wanted one of his own. It was soon filled up with mostly Jamaican music. At home his parents had just one turntable, and later a cd player. When Pioneer announced the release of the first pioneer cdj100, he knew what he had to work for. The day he finally saved up the money to purchase two cdj100’s and a mixer, his passion for Jamaican music had a direction. Two Stanton str8 turntables soon joined his cd players and Tiny Tim started dropping unique mixtapes left right and centre, juggling riddim albums. Heavily addicted to Jamaican music and soundsystem culture by now, he went to every gig and dance he could in Holland and spend every penny he earned in Boudisque record shop in Amsterdam. In 2002 things completely changed when he got the opportunity to live in London and explore Jamaican music there. Coming from Amsterdam, the amount of British born Jamaicans and Jamaican immigrants was a true blessing to him as he soon got in touch with several people in the music industry. Working for Primetime Entertainment, a booking agency/promotions company owned by June “star” Hayles, he felt he could do more with his own ideas and in 2005 started his own soundsystem. With his roots in Amsterdam (in London mostly known for it’s tolerance towards marijuana, or sensi as it’s often called in Jamaican patois), and his sincerity in his love for Jamaican music Sensirity sound was born, now spelled SENSIRITI SOUND. Starting off in London, SENSIRITI has now played in several places in the United Kingdom and beyond. 2010; Well equipped in life experience and music, a box full of dubplates with the likes of Sizzla, Buju Banton, Beenie man, Bounty killer, Marcia Griffiths, Ken Boothe and many more representing. Father Tim has now taken Sensiriti back to South East Amsterdam where he bursts into the scene with a sound that blends 50 years of Jamaican music with sincerity and a true love that will satisfy all those who love music, all who love life. With the wide range of atmosphere’s (vibes) Jamaican music can create, Sensiriti can provide music for all occasions. From roots and lovers, 80’s or 90’s dancehall, to the newest bashment. Fom weddings and dinner dances to artist support and the freshest club nights, Sensiriti can can play the right selection of music. The grass roots of soundsystem culture lies in open air sets. Street dances and festivals are where a good soundsystem is at it’s best. Sensiriti sound can provide all equipment that’s needed to play anywhere, wether it’s for a small block party or a big festival. We also have many contacts in the music industry in the uk, Jamaica and the Netherlands. We can provide bookings for the following artists: Ricky Chaplin, Prince Jazzbo, Laden, Chino, Bramma, Snypa King, Anthony Cruz, Konshens, Sizzla, Gyptian, Shinehead, the Mitchell bros, Tuggawar, Phantom, Versatile Child, and more.
